Win at the Dog Track - Start Skimming and Stop Struggling

Most greyhound handicappers love to get their program. There's something really promising about a new program. You get it and sit down with a cup of coffee (and a doughnut if you're anything like me) and start going through 1953 Bowman black and white races.

You may find that Dark Shadows books first few races are pretty easy to handicap. I don't know why, but it always seems to me that they're set up that way. But then you get to the fifth or sixth race and you get bogged down. No matter how many times you go over it, you can't see where any one dog is better than the car donation - or worse for that matter.

Time passes and you sit there wishing you could just find one dog that stands out. Maybe you've missed something with the percentages or the times or ... Suddenly, you look up and realize that it's five minutes to the first race and you've only got half of the program handicapped. So now you have to rush through the rest of it or do it while the races are running and that takes your attention away from betting and watching the races.

Does this happen to you a lot? If you find yourself struggling to get through the program because you're bogged down on a race that's hard to handicap, you need to rethink your handicapping strategy. Maybe you need to get your program earlier or download it from the Net the day before.

Or maybe you need to realize that - when you get bogged down and can't figure out a race - it's time to let it go and move on to the next race. You can always come back. And if it's that hard to handicap, it's an indication that you shouldn't bet the race.

There's no law that says you have to bet 1921 Koester Bread baseball cards race on the program and common sense says you shouldn't. I don't care how good a handicapper you are, no one can pick winners in Apollo-Z race on every program. So, relax. Next time you get your program, skim it first to get a feel for the races you can handicap with ease and those that are harder to figure out.

Greyhound handicapping is hard enough without turning it into a struggle every time you go.

To win at the dog track, you need a winning system. You can learn the basics of handicapping from a program or online, but to really make good money at the dog track consistently, you need proven ebnetr.com/graded-greyhound-handicapping-system/">Greyhound Handicapping Systems.
